CMS rule requiring all hospitals to publish detailed information regarding the pricing of their services effective January 1, 2021, has been finalized. Despite strong pushback from the industry, this initiative appears to be moving forward on schedule. What’s more, the industry is unprepared—an HFMA survey found that only 12% of executives believe their organizations are ready to comply with the new requirements.
