I am motivated to support patients and providers by creating, maintaining, and optimizing systems to enable safe, frictionless healthcare delivery. Thoughtful design and management of the healthcare environment, processes, and experience promotes healing and allows caregivers to focus on connecting with people and delivering high-quality clinical outcomes.
Lanie is a healthcare operations professional with a wealth of experience leading transformative change at all organizational levels. Her work developing transfer centers, shaping system capacity management strategy, and optimizing patient flow impacts an array of departments and staff from housekeeping to business development and care management to executive leadership. As health systems align and evolve, clients appreciate Lanie’s in-depth understanding of the unique challenges presented across the healthcare continuum, from Critical Access Hospitals to AMCs. Her ability to distill meaningful, concrete insight from complex systems and data makes her a valuable asset to both clients and colleagues.
Lanie’s work at ECG focuses on partnering with hospitals and health systems to identify and evaluate opportunities to improve performance at the enterprise, hospital, and practice levels. Most recently, she led an initiative at a large New England academic health system to improve patient throughput by reducing LOS by nearly 25% through discharge management efforts and post-acute care planning. She also worked with a health system in South Carolina to design an enterprise strategy and command center model for patient alignment across two distinct markets. Additionally, Lanie helped design and implement a strategic plan and financial model for Cooper University Health Care that led to the investment of $10.7 million in centralized patient access initiatives to support an additional one million calls and 290,000 patient visits each year.
