Tom is a recognized leader in the field of managed care contract negotiation, with particular expertise working with spine surgeons. In a healthcare career spanning 30 years, he has been a laboratory technologist and manager, an administrator, and a consultant. In addition, Tom’s experience working in a number of markets throughout the country gives him a broad, national outlook on issues affecting payers and providers. ECG’s clients appreciate that he listens to and focuses on their needs, and they value the perspective that he brings to challenging engagements and complicated negotiations.
Before joining ECG, Tom was a manager with Eveia Health, a firm specializing in ASC operations, managed care contract negotiation, and business analysis. In this capacity, Tom coordinated payer negotiations and provided leadership and direction to Eveia negotiation teams. In addition, he has worked closely with ASC leaders on a number of important strategic and operational initiatives, such as conducting mock site visits and identifying issues that could result in noncompliance with Medicare and other government regulations.
