Sundal is a healthcare professional with business development expertise in academic health centers and service line strategy. Having leadership experiences in the university and hospital settings, Sundal brings unique and creative solutions to AMCs and other healthcare organizations. Her work with C-suite executives, physicians, APPs, and frontline staff has given Sundal an understanding of operations and strategy at multiple levels. She uses data analytics and storytelling to transform complex ideas into easy-to-understand and implementable solutions.
Prior to joining ECG, Sundal was a practice administrator at Rush University Medical Center. In this role, Sundal led the operations of the neuroscience service line, which included eight clinics with over 125,000 outpatient visits and 2,000 surgical cases annually. There, she spearheaded the acquisition and integration of a private practice to the surgical service line, managed a neurology infusion center with a revenue exceeding $110 million, and oversaw the revenue cycle and billing teams. Before that role, Sundal gained university experience at the University of Chicago, where she led the long-term strategy and operations of the sections of general surgery, colorectal surgery, urology, and pediatric surgery. She facilitated the integration of EHR systems and clinical services to expand pediatric healthcare across the Chicagoland area, operationalized telehealth, directed the implementation of multiple multidisciplinary clinics, and worked extensively with local community hospitals.
