Ryan is a solution-oriented and results-driven healthcare leader with over 18 years of experience focused on the delivery of financial and operations improvements across the full spectrum of healthcare organizations. Having spent 12 years leading internal performance improvement teams in several large, multistate healthcare systems, in addition to previous management consulting experience, Ryan excels at building collaborative partnerships by making strategic use of her breadth and depth of experience. She is a problem-solver at heart who has a passion for elevating patient-centered care and discovering sustainable solutions to the challenges that healthcare leaders face daily.
Prior to joining ECG, Ryan directed performance improvement projects in more than 100 hospitals, physician practices, and associated entities spanning over 20 states. In doing so, she delivered more than $150 million in cost and revenue margin improvements as well as a range of operational improvements in areas such as inpatient and outpatient throughput, scheduling and capacity optimization, and purchased service contract alignment. Of note, Ryan led initiatives to identify and align pay practice variation and skill mix misalignment, resulting in an over $10 million impact within a 14-hospital market, and oversaw the creation of an implementation roadmap for an opportunity to insource ambulance transfer services in a four-hospital market, which had a projected cost savings impact of $1.5 million.
