With a background in public health, research, and data analytics, Rachel uses a logical, methodical approach to address her clients' challenges while keeping patients the core focus. She is particularly interested in enhancing cost-effectiveness, supporting workforce development, and helping hospitals and health systems maximize their limited resources, a growing need within the industry. Rachel is dedicated to exploring problems from multiple perspectives, enabling her to conduct in-depth analyses that are understood by diverse audiences.
Before joining ECG and while pursuing her graduate degree, Rachel worked with a major insurance company to expand member benefits in maternal and child health under its Medicaid plan. Most notably, she developed a database to connect doulas with plan members across North Carolina to improve maternal and infant health outcomes. She also worked for a large academic medical center, during which time she conducted a market analysis to inform the repositioning of a helicopter base to enhance patient access. Before graduate school, Rachel worked in clinical research at the National Institutes of Health.
