Nicolas is passionate about using his background to reduce inefficiencies within healthcare. Specifically, Nicolas is interested in improving patients’ access to care. He strives to utilize his analytical background to accomplish these goals.
Before joining ECG, Nicolas worked as a research assistant at the University of Chicago. As a member of the Booth Healthcare Analytics Laboratory, he advised UChicago Medicine on optimizing physician allocation and patient visit frequency to enhance both patient outcomes and profitability under a value-based care model. Nicolas also has an extensive background in oncology through his participation in cancer research since 2019. He was a research assistant at Stanford University, where he investigated phenotypic switching in cancerous smooth muscle cells. Similarly, at the University of Chicago, he studied protein biomarkers and their ability to predict chemotherapeutic responses in patients.
