Integrating his experiences in healthcare analytics, technology, and advisory services, Matt has dedicated his career to generating insights out of healthcare data. The past 15 years of healthcare delivery have been defined by an abundance of data but a lack of synthesis, and Matt is passionate about filtering through the noise to effectively apply analytics to the transformation of healthcare payers and providers. As a leader in ECG’s Analytics Hub, Matt oversees the differentiated analytics tools and solutions, promotes the use of efficiency and analytics best practices in engagements, and manages the firm’s data estate.
Matt has nearly two decades of experience helping provider organizations, payers, and healthcare technology companies use their data to address and optimize financial and operational performance. Most notably, Matt founded and operated the Clinical Operations Analytics service line at Guidehouse for over eight years, rendering both custom analysis packages and analytics products to more than 100 provider clients. During this time, Matt partnered with clients on a wide range of projects, including implementing machine learning applications to identify and reduce unwarranted clinical variation and adverse patient outcomes and using constrained optimization to align staffing levels to patient demand. Before joining ECG, Matt was the vice president of product management at PurpleLab, a healthcare analytics company focused on providing claims intelligence for network development and market intelligence use cases.
