Lois is a values-driven leader who is passionate about enhancing the care of patients and families through improved education of healthcare professionals. Drawing on dual backgrounds in medicine and law, Lois helps schools build a culture of continuous quality improvement and achieve institutional goals through accreditation-related activities. Lois has spent her career supporting medical education at both AHC- and community-based medical schools, affording her a unique understanding of the challenges her clients face and enabling her to develop an approach that helps schools thrive long after engagements are complete.
A nationally recognized leader in medical education and professional regulations, Lois has deep experience across undergraduate medical education, academic governance, and accreditation. Since assuming leadership of Medical School Advisory Group in 2019, Lois has led over 70 engagements with medical schools, health professions schools, and other organizations. Results of those engagements have included successful accreditation processes, the development of new schools and regional campuses, effective responses to accreditation challenges, resolution of learning environment issues, and the development and implementation of continuous quality improvement systems.
