Before joining ECG, Jacob worked as a senior payer strategy analyst for Trinity Health’s Payer Strategies and Product Development team. In this role, Jacob supported Trinity’s national Aetna and Anthem negotiations, the latter of which represented over $1 billion in annual revenue for the system, by working with managed care leaders across six states to produce weekly summary and tracking slides for Trinity’s executive leadership team to keep them informed on the status of negotiations and illustrate the gap between the payers’ rates and the system’s proposals. He also worked on various projects aimed at improving Trinity’s revenue and operations, including partnering with billing teams in Ohio to ensure accurate billing and reduce denials, which led to a $720,000 increase in annual ER revenue.
