Garrett is a healthcare administration professional with a proven track record of partnering with academic health centers to increase productivity and improve capital management. In the current healthcare environment, where provider organizations are feeling the squeeze of tight margins, clients value Garrett’s ability to analyze data and detect financial trends to determine best steps forward. During his time on executive leadership teams as an administrative fellow, Garrett regularly interacted with system leaders, executives, and other stakeholders and learned the importance of delivering data-driven solutions during critical conversations.
Before joining ECG, Garrett worked at Emory Healthcare as a business operations manager. In this role, Garrett developed business cases to support the transition of purchased services to hospital-based services to generate savings of $1 million annually. In addition, Garrett helped redesign labor management workflows and managed a $239 million capital budget for a three-hospital operating unit, regularly working with senior leadership to determine which projects represented the highest internal rate of return to inform investment decisions.
