Dan is a healthcare professional with a unique perspective on strategy, management, and operations. Blending his background as a former US Army officer and clinical sales consultant, Dan helps clients take advantage of opportunities in their markets to improve the delivery of healthcare. At a time when health organizations face increasing uncertainty, Dan’s clients value his ability to deconstruct complex problems and provide actionable solutions.
At ECG, Dan focuses on developing comprehensive surgery migration and operating models to help organizations assess the financial implications of converting HOPDs to ASCs. Most recently, Dan co‑led the successful transition and integration of a freestanding ASC into a large, multisite health system in the Northeast. Dan has also helped provider organizations design and implement affiliation agreements with physician groups of varying sizes. In one such instance, he guided a large health system through the development of its first comanagement agreement, which was eventually extended to multiple independent orthopedic practices. The agreement was also the first of its kind in the market, paving the way for improved orthopedic care in the community and stronger hospital-physician relationships.
