A biologist and public health professional by training, Cassie approaches healthcare challenges with an eye for patient access implications, community impact, and financial viability. Having worked in operations and finance at a pediatric hospital in New York City during the COVID‑19 pandemic, Cassie has the ability to adapt to new challenges, plug in wherever help is needed, and understand patient flow through dynamic circumstances. When presented with complex problems, Cassie excels at clearly articulating data-driven narratives to any audience. She is passionate about helping clients develop successful managed care strategies to empower the appropriate delivery of services, especially for clients focused on behavioral health and pediatric services.
Prior to joining ECG, Cassie was a senior associate of finance and operations at Cohen Children’s Medical Center (CCMC), where she played an integral role in building and executing the annual hospital budget, developing new services, and establishing the Advanced Fetal Care Center for patients with complex pregnancies. The workflows designed by Cassie for the new center resulted in more cohesive experiences for patients and greater opportunities for multispecialty research. Cassie also helped derive cost savings for CCMC through her operational analyses for various hospital departments, in one case generating $400,000 in annual savings through her assessment of nutrition protocols and vendor choices for the neonatology service line.
