André is a healthcare administration professional who is passionate about improving processes and care delivery models to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness with which patients receive care and providers administer care. In a time when healthcare organizations are increasingly turning to quality data to drive decision-making, clients appreciate André’s ability to transform critical information into compelling stories to help stakeholders make informed decisions. André believes clear, accurate data is at the core of any successful solution, and he has used this philosophy to successfully manage a number of performance improvement initiatives at hospitals, a health system, and an AMC.
André has been instrumental at ECG in helping health systems implement new electronic health records (EHRs). For one such project, André coordinated with system leaders to ensure that over 300 sites and over 1,000 providers received adequate at-the-elbow support to address any EHR issues they may encounter. Before joining ECG, André was a program manager at Brigham and Women’s Hospital for the hospital’s Integrated Patient-Centered Complex Critical Illness Program. In this role, he worked to ensure safe care transitions, collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to conduct medication reconciliation, and helped reduce the program’s overall 30‑day readmission rate to approximately 26% for over 400 patients.
