Azka Khawaja

Azka is a healthcare strategy expert with a strong track record of driving growth, improving access to care, and streamlining operations. Having experience with academic medical centers (AMCs) and large health systems, she develops and executes strategies that lead to better financial and operational performance. Azka’s approach is rooted in deep collaboration with clients and cross-functional teams, where she combines strategic insights, data analysis, and financial modeling to address critical challenges in healthcare. Clients benefit from her ability to craft innovative solutions that not only enhance service lines but also optimize resource allocation and improve patient outcomes.

Before joining ECG, Azka worked at Guidehouse as a senior consultant. There, she developed strategic plans for various service lines, including neuroscience, spine, and orthopedics at a Seattle AMC, where her work contributed to a gain of $20 million and supported preparations for a new multispecialty site. Additionally, she collaborated with the board and C-suite of a Minnesota pediatric hospital to create an enterprise-wide 10-year strategic plan, which established Centers of Excellence for cerebral palsy and spine, positioning the hospital as a leader in pediatric care. Azka also redesigned an access steering committee for a Philadelphia health system, resulting in targeted operational improvements and an $8 million projected gain.
