BOSTON, MA—October 19, 2023—ECG Management Consultants, a leading healthcare consulting firm, announced a key addition to its Center for Advanced Oncology with the hiring of Elizabeth Liebow, who left Boston’s Dana-Farber Cancer Institute after nearly 20 years.
Liebow most recently served as Dana-Farber’s chief strategy and chief integration officer, where she played a crucial role in realizing the vision, increasing the reach, and maximizing the impact of the internationally renowned cancer institute. She’s worked in the healthcare industry for more than 25 years, holding strategy and management positions at Mass General Brigham and Boston Medical Center. Liebow will work as a principal in ECG’s Boston office.
“I am thrilled to join ECG’s Center for Advanced Oncology as it supports clients in building and implementing effective strategies and solutions in the context of an ever-evolving environment and increasingly complex cancer care landscape,” Liebow said. “Having helped Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Mass General Brigham increase their reach and maximize their impact through partnerships, care delivery transformation, and performance improvement, I look forward to working with ECG’s exceptionally talented consultants to help our clients address their specific opportunities and challenges.”
Liebow departed Dana-Farber following a string of accomplishments. Her leadership proved instrumental in planning for new campuses, which now provide a substantial portion of the institute’s total volume; restructuring operations for a new clinical center; building a network of strong community hospital alliances; acquiring a physician practice with multiple sites; and implementing a virtual visit service. She also formed and motivated a diverse team of professionals and created a culture of service excellence, innovation, collaboration, and employee engagement.
With over 30 years of experience, ECG’s Center for Advanced Oncology is the nation’s longest-running and largest dedicated consulting practice focused on helping healthcare organizations transform and advance cancer care in the communities they serve. The team works with organizations of varying size and focus, from small physician groups to NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers, and has a proven track record of delivering sustainable solutions in the face of the challenges facing the industry.
“All of us at ECG are thrilled to welcome Elizabeth to our team and look forward to helping our clients navigate the changing face of cancer care with her experience, “says Jessica Turgon, co-leader of the oncology practice.
Liebow’s hiring is just the latest in a string of milestones for ECG. The firm is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, appointed a new CEO, and underwent a brand refresh, including a new website, among other major changes.
